QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Common Questions

What is hypnotic weight control injection?

Firstly this is not an actual injection, you will not be injected or given any medicinal substance. Under hypnosis the hypnotherapist describes  giving yourself a weight control injection and the positive effects it will have upon your body. Telling your subconscious mind about feeling fuller quicker, food staying in the stomach for longer, reducing appetite and releasing excess weight slowly and steadily it can act upon these suggestions and implement them as if you had received a weight control injection of GLP-1 - but without the side effects. The subconscious mind is said to believe what it is told. This is a safer way to approach weight control. It can be used longer term for reinforcement.

How is Hypnotic Weight Control Training Course different?

This Hypnotic Weight Control Course training is different from other hypnotherapy for weight control training and methods because it is based upon current scientific research, which includes the autonomic function called weight set point. Weight set point is only just beginning to be recognised and understood, even medical schools haven't caught up as yet. Bariatric surgeons conduct gastric band surgery, yet they recognise now that many patients regain the weight they shed originally in the years that follow. Weight control is a complex matter, which is recognised in this new ground breaking training course for qualified, registered UK hypnotherapists. The course also uses a hypnotic weight control injection plan, replacing the need to purchase and use the weight loss injection products that are currently trending.

Is there evidence that hypnosis or visualising works?

Yes! Dr David Hamilton, former pharmaceutical scientist, has evidenced in his books how our minds can physically change our bodies. He noted how control groups in drug trials improved at a similar rate to those who received the actual medicines, leading him to explore the relationship between the mind and body. Research has shown that the mind reacts to being given a placebo, not only that but it also reacts favourably to visualising. Dr Joe Dispenza carried out research using brain scans which clearly showed brain activity and changes in the brain as a result of specific visualisations. It has also been found that the brain secretes certain beneficial chemicals as a result of targeted imagery. Hypnosis involves imagery and visualising and has been found to be beneficial in studies including fertility issues, pain relief and hot flushes reduction with breast cancer patients. Speigel's research has shown hypnosis can act on multiple brain regions, including some linked to pain perception and regulation. In 2018, a randomised control trial (Wiley, Peer Review trial)  found regular self-hypnosis users reduced their calorie intake more significantly and lost more weight that those who did not use the technique - average 9.6kg weight reduction compared to 5.6kg in the control group over a year. A 2020 study (Ersan) found that hypnosis appeared to aid weight reduction and considerable changes in leptin levels in people with obesity (leptin is a hormone that aids control of food intake).
